Loved this little town by the beach which turned out to have everything we needed for a beach vacation, even several locations for jet ski rentals. The public beaches have fine clean sand, the only issue is that they don't have chairs or parasols. There are private beaches that provide that as well as food and drinks, but we ended up buying a parasol for less than the price of a single entry fee. As in most every French town, the food was generally excellent but there were a couple of mediocre restaurants, check the individual ratings before you go in. And the best part: everything we wanted within walking distance.

Nice beaches, didn’t really spend time in the town, but walked there in the evening, about 25 minutes from the hotel. Nice stroll, walked around the marina, crossed the water to other side of port via small chair lift which was fun. The town itself looked pretty crowded from there. Stopped at a beach ‘shack’ on the way back, had cocktails & tapas on the beach- lovely !

Palavas-les-Flots is without pretence and relatively unassuming, but this also constitutes the charm of it, not upscale or posh, but beautiful sandy beaches, and a genuine holiday feeling. The Plage Palace hotel is fantastic, and as we went in autumn there were not too many travellers, giving the feeling of being in a secluded spot in the world. Surroundings are very special, a bit desolate in autumn, but very beautiful. We stayed and ate at the hotel - perfect.

Palavas-les-Flots was a disappointment for us.
Palavas-les-Flots was a disappointment for us. It feels like a less successful version of somewhere like Magaluf. Lots of high rise building and not very nice restaurants. It's not the quaint French sea-side we were after.

We have been several times to Palavas and love the fact that it is a vibrant place, very French, lots to see and good restaurants. Have stayed at the Alizes before due to location, friendly bar- that is no longer there and no staff on site- you have to go to the Brasilia to check in- so it is very much now a restaurant with some rooms above ...which is a shame.

Superb apartment beautifully decorated with all the modern comfort including air conditioning and mood lighting.
The location is perfect. It is literally on the beach with a safety post and several quality takeaways. There is a bus stop nearby taking you in a few minutes either to Carnon and the tramway to Montpellier or to the lively Palavas-les-Flots.
But the best feature of this apartment are the hosts. Their hospitality and kindness are exceptional and they ensured that we had a wonderful stay. We cannot wait to come back.
This was our second stay at Plage Palais and only wish we could have stayed longer. It is a beautiful hotel that is elegantly built into the beachfront landscape. The views from the rooms are wonderfully pleasing and calming. The restaurant serves delicious and creative cuisine. Staff are pleasant, parking is easy. We love it here and will return as often as possible.
The host was a delightful lady. There is a nice new power shower, a high quality induction hob and oven, and a microwave. The apartment was clean, and the linen smelt clean and fresh.
The location is superb. Palavas-les-Flots is an enchanting place, and we had a wonderful time swimming in the sea, and soaking up the atmosphere of this lovely town.
2nd time here as a dog friendly place to stop with lovely sea views from a comfortable room. Pay to park in the car park at the top of the road and you can move the car anywhere in the town with no additional charge. At certain times barrier opens to allow you to park on street in front of hotel. Two minute walk to river and shops etc..
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The sea view is the main pro of this room. The bed was large and very comfortable.
The bathroom was convenient, although some water goes out on the floor despite the closed curtain.
The hotel has it's own bar where you can enjoy a freshy squeezed juice on the terrace or even breakfast.
Does what it says on the tin.
Perfectly proportioned room, ideal location for short get away. Mini breakfast tray provided for free (if you want a proper breakfast included don't book here).
No manned reception but receptive on the phone and staff at sister hotel helpful
Views across the street past houses/hotels opposite to the beach.
Large glass sliding door to balcony.
Comfortable bed and bath facilities.
Very good breakfast sitting outside to enjoy the warm weather.
A good situation between the two main towns.
The room was amazing, the hotel has a great swimming pool and restaurants, the beach area is very confortable, The location is great by the beach and near Montpellier. In general the hotel has an amazing mood, confort, and charm
Booked two rooms for myself and friend. Both were close together as requested with double bed in each. Hotel was close to restaurants and tournament venue we were playing in. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Natalie had upgraded my room to one with sea view, a wonderfull start of the holiday :). The room was excellent, the location of the hotel is perfect, literally crossing the street to be on the beach
had booked the best room with view - and got same room as last year - room no. 12. You pick up keycard at Hotel Brasilia just 100 m away where you also can book breakfast.
